As a Disability-Rights activist, what hurts about this, and is similar to Terri’s situation, is that these under-civilized barbarians love to torture the families.
I only learned in 1993, after my first respiratory-failure that my own birth-defect was not even genetic. If I had known that, I would have had a string of grand-children. This world has developed so much prejudice, that whether or not genetic, most people don’t even know if people’s disabilities are genetic–or not!
Probably the most genetic disease there is, is prejudice itself.
The Venuce Project is going to cure this disease. The Zeitgeist Movement are the people who are making this a working reality.
