Thankyou for addressing the critical issues the law deals with.

The doctors’ lawyer made points, which maybe seemed right to say at the time.–But the fact that doctors don’t decide on sympathy, but based on "the best medical judgment" causes too many abuses of the Futility-clause!

We need to appreciate this life, as short as it is. Those who do have extreme chronic pain are now able to be pain-free, when their doctors are properly trained in the right combination of drug therapy which addresses the pain, as well as being alert.

If Kathryn Tucker’s organization stopped their campaigns of fear-mongering about what most people know nothing about, few people would consider ending their lives needlessly.

The costs of proper end-of-life care could be driven down, if so much of healthcare budgets were not fueled by legal costs, and exploitation by the Global-Pharma giants.

Due to my disability, I have lived in a long-term care facility for ten years. I witness a fair turnover of patients who die from terminal illnesses. These people have more dignity in their lives, and in their deaths, than the customers of Compassion & Choices.–And nobody has demanded a law for how they die!

About Ironsides

I was born in 1951 with Arthrogryposis, developed scoliosis at ten years old, but travelled alot and worked in several countries with a religious cult. All my adult life I have had to live with others, and after three respiratory-failures I had to move into a long-term care institution.
