Even though the Health-care bill passed by a slim margin, I think the above petition is very important now. A few years ago, I remember reading how the Compassion and Choices militants, were going to work on getting support within the Military to legalize euthanasia, due to the number of disabled combat troops.
If war veterans never understood our (Disabled People, born with disabilities) situation before, alot of them must be getting the point now. In the above petition Alan Gottlieb referred to their old name–Hemlock Society. The Duty-to-Die militants have had a stage to perform on for a long time now, teaching the world that our "quality of life" isn’t good enough. They’ve gotten away with telling the world that we’re in too much pain.
They told the world that Terri Schiavo’s situation was only a family affair, and that the government didn’t need to stick their noses in it.–Of course, that was after they themselves got the government to pass laws about feeding-tubes, being a form of life-support. It is so amusing how the Death Cult campaign and lobby to force governments to legalize euthanasia/assisted-suicide, and then turn around to admonish the governments to keep their noses out of it, when the involuntary murders take place.
I hope that Not Dead Yet or ADAPT will consider sending representatives to make contact with disabled war veterans, and help their situation. On a disability social network, Endeavor Freedom, one war veteran was asking for help after I answered a Question asked of everyone, why disabled war veterans didn’t join Disability-Rights organizations to help our cause.
Right after I replied to the Question, this disabled Iraq-war soldier immediately illustrated my point. What happened after that, I don’t know. It took me a few days to email him, but he never replied again. Why, I don’t know.–However, he seemed pretty desperate for himself and other injured troops, to get communication from Disability-Rights organizations. Chances are, he committed suicide, which from some things I’ve read during the past year is occuring at a higher rate than is being reported.
How many Iraq-Afghanistan war veterans are committing suicide, or are being murdered, like the list of scientists above is hard to know. All that is obvious, is that there is a full-scale war on against Disabled People!–And it now includes the Military, whoever sustains an injury. In view of this, I think it’s only right that the Disability-Rights organizations do public relations at the VA Hospitals.
So, to begin, I’d like to ask you guys to go to the petition (top link).–And to help war veterans!
